Göteborgs Rapé has been around since 1919 and the snus is characterized by its bright tobacco character and clear juniper taste. Göteborgs Rapé has previously been found as Original Product, but the variant was phased out when the White snus were launched. Demand for Göteborgs Rapé in this format has remained and grown, and now Swedish Match relies on the product. The original pouch has developed - a bit drier and less salty than before, but with the clear Göteborgs Rapé flavor preserved.
